What better way to relax after a rural Worcestershire walk or strolling the grounds at The Elms, than taking afternoon tea? Choose a comfy spot in the lounge or enjoy your refreshments in the garden.
Whether you’re celebrating a special day or simply want a little light indulgence, afternoon tea at The Elms in Worcestershire is a delightful way to spend some time, served from 2.30pm to 5pm every day of the week.
During the winter months, choose a snug spot by one of our crackling fires in the bar, or in the comforable lounge for a cosy cream tea. At special request, or as part of a pampering day at the spa, afternoon tea is also served in the Garden Café, accompanied by wonderful views over the lawn and gardens.
On those warm summer days, why not enjoy a Worcestershire afternoon tea outdoors? Take a seat in the sun on the pear terrace or find a secluded spot on the rear lawn and make the most of the beautiful country house gardens here at The Elms.

The Elms’ Scone Recipe
Whip up a batch of homemade scones using our very own recipe, courtesy of Head Chef John Brandon.
For 4-6 scones:
250g flour (sieved)
14g baking powder
70ml buttermilk or Greek yoghurt
Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar and butter together until it looks like breadcrumbs, then mix in the milk and egg until it is all combined into a dough. Rest the mix for two hours in cling film. Roll to an inch thick and cut out your scones (dipping the cutter in flour each time to help them keep their shape) and place them on a baking tray. Leave for another 15 minutes to rise before baking in an 180-degree oven for 10-15 minutes.
