From family breakfasts in the sunny Terrace to scones and cakes by the lounge fire, or sophisticated fine dining in the Brookes restaurant to a light lunch of salad and sandwiches on the patio.
Our experienced kitchen team uses the freshest of ingredients, as well as homegrown fruit, herbs and vegetables, to conjure up a menu of fabulous meals. The kitchen garden is home to over 100 herbs and bursting with fruit and vegetables. Ian, the kitchen gardener, tends and nurtures the plants that will eventually tantalise your taste buds. If you catch him when he’s not too busy, he’ll be delighted to guide you around, give you growing tips, bestow his encyclopedic knowledge of birds and show off the carnivorous plants that keep insects at bay.
Breakfast is a relaxed affair in the Terrace restaurant, where everyone can get stuck into a generous continental buffet or order plated cooked breakfasts (with a specially designed menu for children).
A light lunch is served daily in the Garden Café or lounge areas with exceptional view across the lawns. On Fridays and weekends, why not treat yourself to a mouthwatering a la carte lunch in the Brookes restaurant?
For dinner, you can choose to dine with your children in the Terrace room (adjoining the Brookes restaurant) from 6pm. If appetites need to be satisfied earlier in the evening, opt for High Tea between 5pm and 6pm in the Garden Café.
Alternatively, escape the children and indulge in a ‘date night’ together. After 7pm, the Brookes restaurant transforms into a sophisticated grown-up dining experience. And with our baby listening service, you can switch off the parenting buttons and be a couple once more.
During the day, you’re welcome to order food and drinks outside of the restaurants – whether you choose an indulgent afternoon tea in one of the cosy lounges, or some ice-cold cocktails on the velvety lawns, a Teddy Bears’ tea for the children or an energising morning coffee with homemade biscuits.
