Christmas & New Year at The Elms 2008 A Luxury Family Christmas is a wonderful experience. Especially at The Elms where everything has been thought of to make your festive break the most relaxing and enjoyable Christmas experience ever. December 23rd Arrive from 2pm to a warm reception. Settle into your home from home, take a moment to explore your surroundings before enjoying a delicious afternoon tea in one of our beautiful lounges. Snuggle up in front of the fire, or relax with a book, and really start to unwind. Our Bears Den crèche welcomes children for Christmas Decoration making in preparation for the big day. After the little ones have enjoyed high tea, its back to crèche for Cinema and popcorn. Mums and Dads can then enjoy a welcome Champagne reception with the General Manager and team before experiencing the sumptuous cusine on offer from Head Chef Daren Bale in the Brooke Room Restaurant, whilst enjoying close up magic tricks at your table. Then its off to bed to await the sound of sleigh bells. Christmas Eve After enjoying a traditional Worcestershire breakfast, you have the chance to enjoy your surroundings, or pop into near by historic Worcester for some last minute shopping. Alternatively, take the chance to relax prior to the big day with a treatment or two in the magnificent Aqaue Sulis Spa. (treatments must be booked in advance). After a buffet lunch, afternoon activities commence with Laser Clay pigeon shooting, fun with “The Magic Man” and very special visitor……………………… Once the excited little ones are tucked up in bed, parents are invited to join the team for an spot of wine tasting before once again enjoying the gastronomic delights on offer in the Brooke Room Restaurant. Midnight Mass at the local church in Abberley is a magical experience and their will be warm mince pies and mulled wine on your return. Christmas Day Having been woken by the sounds of excitement, Christmas morning starts with exchanging presents, followed by a bucks fizz breakfast. You might then fancy a brisk stroll around our gardens and woodland walk to work up an appetite for an exquisite Christmas Lunch featuring traditional favourites entwined with modern cuisine. Cosy up by the fire for a much needed snooze, or enjoy traditional board games with all the family. For the more active among us, why not enjoy a splash in the pool? The Christmas family film will be shown in the Bears Den, and for anyone with room to spare, a traditional pantry supper will be available in the evening. Boxing Day Boxing Day is a day of fun for all the family. After breakfast, its time for the children to burn off some energy on our bouncy castle. Many beautiful local walks surround the hotel, so why not get out there and enjoy the crisp winter air? Following a buffet lunch, let our Animal Man entertain you with a close encounter of the furry kind! From a cute meerkat, to an armor plated armadilo, cuddly chinchillas to shiny snakes we will ensure everyone leaves with exciting stories to tell. A fair well dinner will be hosted in the Brooke Room Restaurant, while everyone has the chance to try their luck with our “Fun Money” casino. Following breakfast on December 27th, we bid you a fond farewell. A time to say goodbye to new friends and make arrangements for next year, because Christmas doesn’t get much better than this. 3 Day Re-charger After all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, why not escape and relax before the new year celebrations begin. Take time out to unwind in our spa, and maybe book a much needed massage! Take a stroll around the grounds, with Tickle our chocolate Labrador, or simply curl up by the fire with a good book. Activities include a “Cooking with Chef” Demonstration, a family trip to see the pantomime “Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood”, and wine tasting sessions.
